President Paudel admitted to TU Teaching Hospital
President Ramchandra Paudel is undergoing treatment for prostate, the hospital says.Post Report
President Ramchandra Paudel has been admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for the treatment of prostate.
Prof Dr Ghanashyam Gurung, officiating executive director of the hospital, issuing a press release on Wednesday said that the president was admitted to the hospital for the treatment.
The 80-year-old President was earlier admitted to the Maharagunj-based hospital on June 17 last year after experiencing chest-related complications.
He had been admitted to the Gangalal Hospital a few days ago the same month after complaining of chest pain. A few days later he was admitted to the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre for the same reason.
On June 20, Paudel underwent heart surgery to have a pacemaker permanently implanted.
In April last year, Paudel had been admitted to Maharajgunj-based TU Hospital twice after experiencing abdominal pain and shortness of breath.
He was airlifted to India on April 19 last year and underwent treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi for 11 days.
