President Ramchandra Paudel was admitted to the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre early on Tuesday after he complained of chest pain.
According to the Office of the President, Paudel was admitted to the Bansbari-based hospital at 11am on Tuesday.
“Nothing serious has happened to the President. He has gone to the hospital for regular tests,” said Niraj Bam, Paudel’s personal physician.
He is currently receiving treatment in the VIP section of the hospital.
In early April, Paudel had been admitted to Maharajgunj-based TU Hospital twice after experiencing abdominal pain and shortness of breath.
He was airlifted to India on April 19 and underwent treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi for 11 days.
