President Ramchandra Paudel discharged from hospital

President Ramchandra Paudel has been discharged from the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre on Wednesday.
Paudel was admitted to the Maharagunj-based hospital on June 17 after experiencing chest-related complications.
The President was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon and has returned to the President’s residence, the Office of the President said in a statement.
According to the doctors, his health is now in a stable condition.
The President has expressed his gratitude towards all medical personnel and hospital staff for their service and concern for his well-being, the statement further reads.
The President had been admitted to the Gangalal Hospital on June 13 after complaining of chest pain. A few days later he was admitted to the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre for the same reason.
On June 20, Paudel underwent heart surgery to have a pacemaker permanently implanted.
In early April, Paudel had been admitted to Maharajgunj-based TU Hospital twice after experiencing abdominal pain and shortness of breath.
He was airlifted to India on April 19 and underwent treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi for 11 days.
