Prime Minister Oli arrives in Beijing for four-day official visit

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has arrived in Beijing on a four-day official visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang.
Oli was welcomed at Beijing Capital International Airport by Sun Weidong, vice foreign minister of China. Present at the airport were Nepal’s Ambassador to China, Krishna Prasad Oli, and China’s Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song.
According to the prime minister’s secretariat, Oli will hold bilateral talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Tuesday. The meeting will cover various agendas of mutual interest, including infrastructure development, trade, and economic cooperation, with agreements and memorandums of understanding expected to be signed.
Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
On Wednesday, the Prime Minister will deliver a keynote address at Peking University and speak at the Nepal-China Business Forum and will also attend a reception hosted by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing, the prime minister's secretariat said.
Prime Minister Oli is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising government officials, members of parliament, private sector representatives, and diplomats.
He is set to return to Nepal on Thursday.
