A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife with an axe over a domestic dispute. The accused is Om Narayan Shrestha, 42, from ward 8 of Bhanu Municipality.
On Thursday, Shrestha allegedly struck his 39-year-old wife, Pratiksha Shrestha, with an axe, causing severe injuries.
She was rushed to Damauli Hospital, where doctors declared her dead, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa. The police have taken Shrestha into custody, and further investigations are underway, he said.
