One dies after hornet sting in Panchthar

A man has died following a hornet sting in Panchthar district.
The deceased has been identified as Subharaj Tumrok, 26, of Phidim Municipality-6, Shiva, in Panchthar district.
Tumrok was stung by hornets on 23 October while attempting to extract a hive. Despite receiving initial treatment at a local medical centre, he failed to recover. He passed away at home while arrangements were being made to transport him to the district headquarters for further care, reported Benilal Sah, spokesperson for the Panchthar district police.
The body has been transported to Panchthar Hospital for post-mortem examination, with arrangements underway to hand it over to the family, Sah added.
