Three arrested on charge of duping Rs2.3 million

Police have arrested three people for defrauding youths of Rs2.3 million under the pretext of sending them abroad for foreign employment.
According to Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Division, Sushant Singh, 30, of Siraha, Salahuddin Begh, 36, of Kapilvastu, and Raju Dahal, 53, of Tehrathum, were arrested from various places in Kathmandu.
Seven victims filed complaints with the police, stating that the trio went out of contact after receiving the money.
Singh allegedly swindled Rs840,000 from two people by promising to send them to Dubai, Begh allegedly duped two individuals of Rs720,000 for jobs in Kuwait, and Dahal allegedly took Rs825,000 from three people with promises of work in Croatia.
Acharya said the suspects have been handed over to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, for further investigation.
