Two people have died in separate incidents in Jhapa and Kavrepalanchok districts.
According to the police, a 10-year-old boy drowned in a rain-filled pit in Ward 1 of Jhapa Rural Municipality on Saturday.
The body of the boy, who had gone out to play from home, was found about 500 meters away from the house.
Police said the body was sent to the Provincial Hospital in Bhadrapur for an autopsy.
Similarly, the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, said a woman was found on the banks of Roshi River in Ward 8 of Temal Rural Municipality on Saturday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Shrestha said the deceased is Aarati Lama of Roshi Rural Municipality-9.
