Birgunj prison polling centre records hundred percent voter turnout

Inmates at Birgunj Prison recorded a hundred percent voter turnout, with all eligible prisoners casting their ballots.
Babulal Regmi, the prison’s jailor, said the gaol had a total of 32 inmate voters and all of them participated in the vote.
The inmates were allowed to vote only under the proportional representation system.
Regmi said the prison has a total of 67 registered voters, including inmates, security personnel and staff members.
The prison’s security personnel deployed at other polling centres cast their votes at their respective centres.
