Seven Nepalis killed in road accident in India

As many as seven Nepali nationals were killed in a road accident in Betalghat in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
The accident occurred after a jeep, travelling to Tanakpur from Betalghat, carrying Nepali labourers, fell off a cliff on Monday evening, Indian media reported.
The deceased have been identified as Gopal Chaudhary, 60, Udaya Ram Chaudhary, 55, Shiva Ram Chaudhary, 50, 45-year-old Dhiraj Chaudhary, Tilka Chaudhary, 45, 40-year-old Anantaram Chaudhary, and Binod Chaudhary, 38. Jeep driver Rajendra Kumar, an Indian national, also died in the accident.
Two others have been injured.
As per the preliminary investigation, all of the Nepali victims are locals of Kanchanpur, Gopal Kumar Adhikari, Kanchanpur chief district officer, confirmed with the Post.
