A general assembly of the Photojournalist Club elected its new executive committee led by Dwarika Kafle on Sunday.
Angad Dhakal has been elected vice chair of the new executive committee, Amul Thapa has been elected general secretary, Kabin Adhikari secretary, and Keshav Thapa treasurer.
Sanjog Manandhar, Nisha Bhandari, Elite Joshi, Beeju Maharjan, Saroj Baiju and Sajit Pariyar are executive members of the newly elected committee.
The meeting decided to put further efforts to ensure press freedom and fight for the rights of the working journalists, said a press statement issued by General Secretary Thapa on Sunday.
