Prime Minister Dahal summons Cabinet meeting to decide on rescue and repatriation of Nepalis

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has called a special meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday to discuss the latest developments in Israel and take a decision on the rescue and repatriation of Nepalis.
The meeting scheduled at 4pm in Singha Durbar will discuss the situation of Nepalis, diplomatic initiatives to be taken by the government to repatriate Nepali citizens and necessary technical arrangements among other issues, according to the the prime minister’s secretariat.
The prime minister has also called an all-party meeting in Singha Durbar at 5pm to discuss the situation in Israel and the security and welfare of Nepali citizens.
Prime Minister is continuously concerned about the incident and is taking necessary initiatives on behalf of the government, according to his secretariat.
Ten Nepali students were killed while four others were injured in armed attacks by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas on Israel on Saturday. Fighting was still continuing on Sunday in some parts of southern Israel as security forces pursued the militants.
As per the Nepali embassy in Tel Aviv, one student is still missing. While the attack spread terror across the country, 17 Nepali students in Kibbutz Alumim, an area near the Gaza Strip, came under direct attack by the militants. Of them, only two, who are under police protection, were left uninjured. In a statement on Sunday night, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the injured are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
