An armed group of six robbed the house of Ramchandra Thakuri at Shantitol in ward 5 of Lalbandi Municipality on Thursday morning.
According to Superintendent of Police Nareshraj Subedi of the district police office, who is investigating the robbery, the incident took place at around 2 am.
The owner of the house was injured in the scuffle with the robbers and is being treated at the Lalbandi-based Model Hospital. Police have recovered a homemade gun used in the crime, and further investigation is going on, said Subedi.
