Two dead, one injured in Kathmandu road accident

Two people died and a child was injured in a road accident in Dhungedhara of the Capital City on Sunday morning.
According to police, the accident happened when a bus heading to Kalanki from Balaju hit a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
The deceased are identified as a 32-year-old woman from Sindhupalchok and a man whose address is yet to be known, said Superintendent of Police Kumod Dhungel, spokesperson of Kathmandu Police Range.
Both succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the Maharajgunj-based TU Teaching Hospital.
A nine-year-old girl, who was also injured in the accident, is undergoing treatment at Manmohan Hospital for head injuries.
The bus has been impounded and its driver has been taken into custody for necessary investigation, police said.
