Two die in a landslide in West Rukum

West Rukum
Two people died in a landslide that occured at Basthala village in Banfikot Rural Municipality of West Rukum on Sunday.
According to the the District Police Office, 45-year-old Dhanmaya Khatri and 44-year-old Rakali Bahadur Khadka died after a landslide occured at the Pokharpari cliff at around 4pm today.
Polie said that the women were buried under the landslide debris as they were cutting grass for their cattle at the cliffside near the village.
Police Inspector Bishnu Prasad Shrestha informed that 42-year-old Bal Kumari Khatri, who was with them, has sustained injured following the disaster.
According to Shrestha, Khatri has been sent to a local hospital for treatment.
