Prime Minister Dahal meets Indian President, Veep
Indian President Droupadi Murmu expresses her confidence that the visit would further strengthen the strong bond between the two countries.Post Report
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is on a four-day India visit, called on Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday evening.
While welcoming the prime minister, the Indian President said India looks forward to a positive agenda in India-Nepal bilateral relations to take the age-old partnership to new heights.
The Office of the Indian President in a statement said that Murmu expressed her confidence that this visit would further strengthen the strong bond between the two countries.
The President said that Nepal is a priority for India and added that India looks forward to furthering the development partnership, including early completion of important projects, according to the statement.
Likewise, the Office of the Indian Vice President said Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was pleased to receive the visiting prime minister.
“Age-old cultural ties between India and Nepal continue to be the bedrock of our relationship as we make good progress in other areas of our engagement,” reads the tweet from the Vice President of India.
Earlier today, Dahal held a one-on-one meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. Nepal and India also signed seven different agreements following the delegation-level talks.
