A total of five Deputy Inspector Generals of Nepal Police have been recommended for promotion to Additional Inspector General.
The Promotion Recommendation Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs recommended the names of Basanta Kunwar, Tek Prasad Rai, Deepak Thapa, Shyama Lal Gyawali and Kiran Bajracharya for promotion.
Kunwar is currently deployed in Madhesh province police office, Rai in Lumbini, Thapa in Bagmati, Gyawali in Koshi and Bajracharya in Nepal Police Headquarters.
They were recommended for promotion after Additional Inspector Generals Bishwo Raj Pokharel, Mukunda Acharya, Arun BC, Rabindra Bahadur Dhanuk and Puja Singh retired due to the age limit.
