The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday filed a graft case against the then customs officer at Rasuwa Customs Office Daan Bahadur KC.
The anti-graft body filed the case at the Special Court charging him with amassing property worth over Rs21 million through illegal means during a 35-year service period.
In a statement, Shyam Prasad Bhandari, CIAA spokesperson, said the source of property worth Rs21 million in the name of KC and his relatives couldn’t be established.
The CIAA has demanded confiscation of the amassed property, an equal fine and a jail term as per the prevailing laws. KC’s wife Sushila Pandit has also been charge-sheeted in the case.
