Chinese Ambassador Chen calls on Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha
Chinese envoy and deputy prime minister discuss Nepal-China bilateral ties and the progress of development projects.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song on Sunday paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
During the meeting, different facets of Nepal-China bilateral ties and the progress of development projects were discussed, said Keshav Kumar Sharma, Secretary of the Ministry, who also attended the meeting.
Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha wished Ambassador Chen a successful tenure and expressed his hope that the people-to-people relations between the two countries will further expand.
Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha also urged the Chinese side to speed up the expansion work for the Kalanki-Chabhil road section of the Ring Road. The Chinese side requested the deputy prime minister to clear the hurdles at first.
Similarly, Secretary Sharma said they also discussed other projects underway with Chinese assistance.
Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha drew the attention of the Chinese ambassador to the issue of the Tokha-Chhare tunnelway, the Sankhuwasabha-Kimathanka road section and the resumption of border points.
