Independent lawmaker Kiran Kumar Sah has joined the CPN-UML.
UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli inducted Sah into the party at a function organised at his residence in Balkot on Tuesday.
Sah had filed an independent candidacy with the support of Prabhu Shah, who was elected from Rautahat-3. Kiran was included in the recently-formed Aam Janata Party by Prabhu Shah, but he joined UML declining to be a member of the party.
Kiran was elected as a House of Representatives member from Rautahat-2 in the November 20 polls. He had defeated Firdosh Alam of the Nepali Congress by a margin of 4,594 votes.
