Congress’ Padam Bahadur Sahi elected provincial lawmaker from Bajura-2
As per the final results, Sahi defeated Lal Bahadur Thapa of the CPN-UML by a margin of 2,598 votes.

Nepali Congress candidate Padam Bahadur Sahi has been elected as a member of the Sudurpashim Province Assembly from Bajura-2.
As per the final results, Sahi defeated Lal Bahadur Thapa of the CPN-UML by a margin of 2,598 votes.
Sahi got 20,119 votes against Thapa who managed to bag 17,521 votes.
Thapa, who is the outgoing House of Representatives member from Bajura, was seen as a contender for the post of the chief minister. Sahi was defeated in the 2017 polls.
