Congress wins 53 FPTP seats as final results of 156 constituencies declared
UML is placed second in the seat tally winning 41 seats.Post Report
The Nepali Congress has maintained its lead in the seat tally under the first-past-the-post category for the House of Representatives with vote counting in the final stage.
The Congress has secured 53 seats as of 10:45am on Sunday with final results of 156 out of 165 constituencies declared.
The UML is placed second winning 41 seats as the CPN (Maoist Centre)’s candidates have emerged victorious in 17 seats. The CPN (Unified Socialist) is in the fourth position winning ten seats.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party have won seven seats each. The Janata Samajbadi Party’s candidates have booked their seats in the lower house from six constituencies and independent candidates in five constituencies.
The Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party have won four and three FPTP seats respectively.
Likewise, Majdoor Kishan Party, Janamat Party and Rastriya Janamorcha have won one seat each.
As of this writing, Congress is leading in three constituencies, UML in two and Rastriya Swatantra Party in one constituency. Vote counting is yet to start in Dolakha, Syangja-2 and Bajura.
