Nepal Health Conclave to be held on April 6
The event seeks to address challenges faced by Nepal’s health sector in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.Post Report
Nepal Health Conclave 2021, an initiative of the media and journalism teamat Trikal Productions and health professionals within the US EmbassyYouth Council, is being organised inKathmandu on April 6.
According to the organisers, theevent, first of its kind interactive andpublic discourse on the status ofNepal’s health sector, is supported bythe Ministry of Health and Populationand the US Embassy in Kathmandu.
The event seeks to address challenges faced by Nepal’s health sector in thewake of the Covid-19 crisis.
The organisers said in a press statement that the initiative aims to analyse the gaps in national health plans/policies while considering theprogress made so far throughmeaningful and critical conversationswith stakeholders, as well as community members.
“The event will be an opportunityfor policy reform to strengthen andreimagine the health system ofNepal,” the statement said. “The conclave will bring together governmentofficials, medical professionals, publichealth specialists, media personnel,journalists, and community leaders tohave a productive discussion as partof the following four panels.”
The theme of the conclave will be“Aarogyada: Living HealthierTogether”. This is in recognition thatit is within the rights of every Nepalito strive to live a healthier, longer, andhappier life, the organisers said.
The Nepal Health Conclave willtake place as a physical event for onlythe speakers and panelists, given theCovid-19 guidelines issued by the government, at Hotel Yak and Yeti.
