Main opposition party Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) disrupted a Provincial Assembly meeting of Province 2 on Friday, demanding amendments be made to the working guidelines of People’s Housing Programme and the district committees be revamped to implement the programme. The NCP and NC criticised the ruling parties for appointing their activists only while forming committee in all eight districts. The opposition parties lawmakers stood up from their seats and disrupted the assembly meeting immediately after Deputy Speaker Upama Dev convened the meeting. A discussion was held for about three hours to resolve the disruption but to no avail. (PR)
