At least 18 cows were killed and another 12 suffered burn injuries when a fire broke out at a shed in Sikles of Kaski district.
The incident occurred at Madi Rural Municipality-1 where a shed belonging to Kirtiman Gurung was ravaged by fire on Sunday evening.
Local Gehendra Gurung said shepherds had lit a fire to keep the shed warm which spread into the shed and killed the cows. Locals came to know about the incident only after they smelt smoke nearby. There were 38 cows in the shed.
