Surkhet office of Commission for Investigation of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Inspector Sushobhan Shrestha of Local Police Office, Babiyachaur, while taking Rs 15,000 as bribe from a service seeker.

Inspector Shrestha was arrested with the amount from Salkot Police Station on Sunday. CIAA team also arrested police constable Tilak Lamichhane in the case.

Shrestha had asked for the amount to settle a case of loot in a jewellery shop. CIAA Surkhet office Spokesperson Janga Bahadur Dangi informed the anti-graft body was investigating the arrested duo.
