Police have arrested a man for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl from Sunsari.

According to the police, Pramod Chaudhary of Gadhi Rural Municipality-8 in the district was arrested for raping the girl at Godhuli Hotel located in Buspark, Itahari-9 on Sunday.

The arrestee is in the custody of Area Police Office, Itahari and the police are seeking to extend his remand from the district court to investigate the matter.

Police had arrested Chaudhary following a complaint from the victim’s family who accused him of luring the girl to the hotel before raping her.
