A massive fire broke out at Makalu Soap and Industries in Parwanipur Rural Municipality, Bara, on Monday.
Owner Prabhu Dayal Kandoi informed the fire broke out due to an electric short circuit and destroyed property worth Rs 100 million. Kandoi added the factory was completely destroyed in the fire.
Workers knew about the fire only after two hours it broke out. DSP Som Shrestha informed around half-a-dozen fire engines including from Nepal Oil Coorporation, Birgunj Metropolitan City, Kalaiya sub-metropolis doused the fire at around 11 am.
