Minister Thapa said so while answering the questions raised by lawmakers regarding the rape and murder of Panta during the meeting of House of Representatives on Friday.He assured that there would be no negligence on the part of authority while investigating into the heinous crime.
“The Home Ministry is committed to punish anyone found negligent in the investigation of the incident, and the authorities concerned have been directed to act accordingly,” he said.
He said the government would adopt zero tolerance policy against the perpetrators in rape and murder of women and children. He further said the guilty would not be given amnesty under any circumstances.
Minister Thapa responded to questions raised by lawmakers after the main opposition Nepali Congress obstructed the House proceedings on Thursday over the rape and murder of Panta.
Panta was found murdered after rape at a sugarcane field on July 26 in Kanchanpur district.
