Police on Monday arrested a 24-year-old man on the charge of molesting a child in Lalbandi, Sarlahi.

The suspect, a permanent resident of Haripurwa Municipality-8, has been working in Lalbandi as a home tutor.

The man allegedly molested two girls while taking the class, according to the police.

The accused was detained following a complaint lodged by the girls’ guardians and investigation is underway regarding the incident.

Inspector Kiran Prasad Neupane of Area Police Office, Lalbandi, informed that a child molestation case has been lodged as per the new criminal code against the suspect.
