Dharan
A woman has been found dead inside a hotel room under suspicious circumstances in Dharan.
Police said Rita Rai, 28, of Chaukibari in Dharan-19, was found dead at a room of Kantipur Hotel in Buddha Chowk on Friday night. Rai was staying at the hotel for the past 20 days despite her home being nearby.
Hotel sources said though Rai was staying alone in the room, there were four boys who frequently visited her at the hotel. Police has arrested one of them on Saturday. He has been identified as Ronish Shrestha.
DSP Suman Timilsena said both Rai and Shrestha are drug users and were previously arrested by police. Police suspected overdose as the reason behind her death but said they could not be ascertained until the post mortem report was out.
