The Dhunche-Rasuwagadhi road in Rasuwa district has been obstructed for the past one week due to landslides at Khopang cliff.
People affected by the road closure have blamed the authorities concerned of not doing enough to resume the traffic flow.
They say people transportation of daily essentials has been hindered and sick people had no way to reach health facilities in time.
Around 1,200 container trucks have also been stranded in the Chinese border town of Kerung for the last three weeks after Ghattekhola Bridge at Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-2 in the district was destroyed by a flood.
Some locals and traders have started to transport goods from one place to another using porters these days.
Sarada Parajuli, a local businessman, said porters were being hired to transport goods in Rasuwagadhi, Ghattekhola and Khopang Bhir areas.
“The government has shown no urgency to repair the damaged bridge and road,” said Parajuli.
Niraj Shakya, the chief of Division Road Office in Nuwakot, said it would some more days to resume the traffic in Ghattekhola Bridge area.
