An officer of Gaur Survey Office was caught red-handed with bribe money on Thursday.
A team deployed from the Hetauda-based Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) caught Dhirendra Kumar Lal red-handed while receiving Rs 15,000 bribe from the service seeker this afternoon.
Lal had demanded Rs 15,000 from the service seeker to transfer the land ownership from mother to sons.The service seeker lodged a complaint with the CIAA office after Lal asked Rs 15,000 to complete the work.
CIAA Hetauda office Chief Hom Kala Pandey confirmed that Lal was caught red-handed with the bribe.
The arrested officer has been taken to Hetauda for investigation.
