Relief distributed to landslide victims in Jajarkot

Chief District Officer Lalit Kumar Basnet handed over cheque of Rs 100,000 to the relatives. Nine persons, eight children and one adult, were buried in the landslide at Thantibazaar in Bheri Municipality-3 of the district on Sunday. One person was rescued alive while another one is still missing.
The family members are living at an old age home after being displaced by the landslide.
Meanwhile, Karnali provincial government has also provided cash amount of Rs 25,000 each to the victims while food items worth Rs 20,000 were also distributed to them. Bheri Municipality has decided to provide relief of Rs 30,000 while Kushe Rural Municipality will also provide Rs 25,000 to the family members, CDO Basnet said.
Bheri Municipality has already provided Rs 20,000 to injured Lal Bahadur Luhar for his treatment.
