The Mahakali highway has been completely obstructed due to landslide triggered by heavy rainfall on Tuesday night.
The highway has been closed for traffic after the landslide in Satbanjh-Gokuleswar road section of the highway, according to police inspector at the District Police Office Baitedi, Kanti Raj Joshi. Efforts to open the road for traffic have been hampered by continuous rain, he said.
The obstruction is likely to be cleared by late afternoon. As a result, travellers have been affected with transportation both in the short and long route coming to a standstill. The landslide in the place has become an annual affair after it first occurred some 15 years ago. RSS
