One person, who had gone missing after being swept by Orahi River in Bardiya following a flood, has been found dead on Tuesday.

Police recovered the body of one Sitalu Tharu, 65, of Thakurbaba Municipality-8 in the district who was swept away by Orahi River following a flood on Monday. Tharu was swept away while he was trying to cross the river.

Police have also recovered the cycle that belongs to Tharu.
