The Butwal-Tansen section of the Siddhartha Highway has remained obstructed due to a landslide that occurred at Siddhababa Temple area on the road section at around 11 pm on Sunday, following rains since two days.
The West Region Traffic Police Office, Butwal said the mudslide with stones has not stopped and the work of removing the debris has not been started yet.
This section of the Siddhartha Highway is considered risky as even light rainfall seems to trigger mudslide. This road section has been obstructed four times due to the same cause before this in this year.
Vehicles travelling to and from Syangja, Pokjara, Baglung, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi and various other destinations in the district have been stranded due to this. RSS
