Vehicular movement along the Siddhartha Highway has been obstructed following landslide triggered by incessant rain on Monday.
According to District Police Office Spokesperson Prakash Bista, a landslide occurred at Gahakhola in Waling Municipality-10 in Syangja district at around 12pm today halting all vehicular movement on the road.
Spokesperson Bista informed that a dozer from the Department of Roads has been brought to clear the landslide debris and resume traffic.
Vehicles heading towards Pokhara via Butwal from Sunauli and other small vehicles operating inside the district have been stranded following the landslide.
Meanwhile, police personnel and locals are jointly working to remove the debris and it could take 3-4 hours to clear the road section, informed police.
