Two persons died after a truck carrying an excavator fell into the Koshi River at Koshi Barrage in Sunsari on Wednesday. Seven others were injured in the accident..
According to the police, truck driver Binod Baraily of Sunsari and excavator driver Ghanashyam Chaudhary of Jhumka, Sunsari died in course of treatment at Inaruwa-based District Hospital.
The truck belonging to Raut Construction en route to Hetauda fell into the Koshi River along with nine people including people travelling in the truck and excavator operators.
Of the rescued, Santosh Adhikari, Hari Magar and Maniraj Bishwakarma are in serious condition and are receiving medical treatment at Biratnagar.
While other four injured are yet to be identified.
