Gyawali meets Chinese official
KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali met with Chen Zemin, president of the China Association for Friendship and committee member of the China People’s Political Consultative Conference, at the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing on Sunday.
Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali met with Chen Zemin, president of the China Association for Friendship and committee member of the China People’s Political Consultative Conference, at the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing on Sunday. On his way to Mongolia, Gyawali had made a stopover in Beijing.
Matters of bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Nepal and China figured in the meeting, the Nepali Embassy said in a statement.
Minister Gyawali outlined five priority areas for Nepal’s development—connectivity, energy, tourism, agricultural development, and science, technology and communication.Chen was quoted as saying: “We believe that Nepal will make rapid economic progress with its solid foundation for development as Nepal’s internal politics has been stable.” The Chinese official assured strong support from his government to Nepal’s development endeavours.
