Properties worth nearly Rs 65 million were destroyed in separate fire incidents in Chitwan and Rasuwa districts on Wednesday.
In Chitwan, a fire broke out at a paint factory in Bharatpur Municipality, causing an estimated loss of Rs 55 million.
Police said the fire at Everest Colour Industry Pvt Ltd was caused due to a short circuit. It took fire-fighters and security personnel nearly three hours to control the blaze.
In Rasuwa, properties worth nearly Rs 10 million were destroyed by a fire in a hotel at Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-2. Police said Rs 800,000 cash, furniture, clothes and food items were destroyed in the fire.
