Ward member of Ghiring Rural Municipality-4 in Tanahun district Shakti Thapa has been accused of rape by a local woman.

The woman has accused ward chairman Thapa made an attempt to rape her and has filed a complaint at District Police Office Tanahun. SP Siddhi Bikram Shah said police team has been mobilised to investigate the matter.

Accused Thapa is on the run after the incident. Thapa was acting as ward chairman following accusation of rape against ward chairman Jhak Bahadur Kumal few weeks ago.
