Kaski District Court has sentenced 6 people to life imprisonment for the murder of Nepali Congress leader Ramji Poudel.
A bench of Judge Umes Prasad Luitel on Sunday issued the life imprisonment verdict against Raju Ranabhat, Ashok Gurung, Sandeep Gurung, Prakash Gurung and Biswas Gautam. Likewise, Bharat Poudel, Birendra Kumar Ranabhat, Rabin Chhetri, Min Bahadur Ghale, Chandra Bahadur Thapa and Lal Bahadur Sen have been sentenced for one year prison term for abetting the culprits.
NC leader Poudel was murdered by his own party-men on August 13, 2015 while he was coming from Lameahal to Gagangauda of Lekhnath Municipality in Pokhara.
