A nation-wide banda called by Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal has partially affected life in the district on Sunday.
The market remained open and vehicles have started plying after 10:00am.
Meanwhile, the police arrested a cadre of the Communist Party of Nepal on the charge of detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) at Mechinagar in Jhapa. The arrestee has been identified as Smriti Rijal of Mechinagar-8.
Investigations are on, according to Superintendent of Police Bishnu KC.
The IED exploded at the garage of Suryodaya Transport Private Limited today morning, said KC. The explosion caused minor damage to two vehicles parked there. RSS
