A boy died on the spot after being hit by a tipper at Kalimati, Rautamai Rural Municipality-5 in Udaypur district on Thursday.
According District Police Office, Udaypur, Nigam Rai, 11, son of Tilak Rai died after being hit by a tipper (Na 3 Kha 8574) at Kalimati along the Gaighat-Diktel road section of Sagarmatha Lokmarga.
Nigam, a grade 4 student of Bal Kalika Secondary School, was playing during a tiffin break when the tipper hit him.
The tipper was hauling ballast and was en route to Daandagaun from Phoksinatar at the border of Udaypur and Khotang district.
