Kathmandu
Newly elected House Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said he has resigned from all responsibilities of the CPN (Maoist Centre).
Speaking to journalists in Singh Durbar, Kathmandu on Wednesday, Mahara said he is no more affiliated with the party though he is in contact with Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
He said he used to represent the Maoist Centre in the inter-party meetings as his position in the party was balanced.
Meanwhile, the monsoon session of the Legislature-Parliament will begin from the second week of May.
He said that matters related to policy and programmes and budget will be discussed in the next session of the Parliament.
