A group of people, who staged a demonstration against the road widening campaign underway in various part of the Kathmandu Valley, clashed with police at New Baneshwor in the Capital on Wednesday.
The clash ensued after the protesters tried to enter the prohibited zone.
Following which, the police intervened and fired tear gas shells and water canon to disperse the agitating crowd.
