Lila Chauhan, Ward Chairman of Diktel Rupakot Mujhuwagadhi Municipality-6, of Khotang district, was attacked by three assailants on Wednesday.

According to DSP Lokdarshan Thapa of the District Police Office, Khotang, Joshichandra Rai, 29, Bishan Rai, 26, and Badri Khadka, 23, of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-7 had attacked Ward Chairman Chaudhan at Daruladanda of Dorpa at around 10 pm yesterday.

Police said that the assailants are on the run. DSP Thapa said that they have started a manhunt to nab the culprits.
