A woman has registered a police complaint against Hari Prasad Pasi, ward chairman of Gulariya Municipality-9, Bardiaya, claiming that a group led by Pasi assaulted her on Wednesday night.
Saiti Tharu, 48, was reportedly attacked by Pasi and his men because she had complained about discrimination in aid distribution to the flood victims to MP Sanjaya Kumar Gautam recently.
Police said they have started a probe into the case.
A women’s group also filed a complaint against Pasi and his cronies at the District Administration Office.
