Forest Minister Pandey appoints 2 members at Chure board
At a time when the incumbent government under Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to handover the leadership of the left alliance, Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation Bikaram Pandey has appointed two members to the Chure Tarai Madhes Conservation Development Committee on Monday.At a time when the incumbent government under Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to handover the leadership of the left alliance, Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation Bikaram Pandey has appointed two members to the Chure Tarai Madhes Conservation Development Committee on Monday.
A Cabinet meeting endorsed the names of former secretary at the Forest Ministry Baburam Bhandari and Rekha Sharma as members of the Chure Board which carries the power and position as of an assistant minister.
According to a source, Sharma is the daughter of State Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Kamala Devi Sharma and Bhandari is a resident from the Forest Minister’s home town, Bharatpur.
Bhandari and Sharma will have tenure of five years in the board.
Earlier, Minister Pandey’s predecessor, former Forest Minister Agni Prasad Sapkota had appointed Bidur Bharati, Dipa Pradhan and Ram Dayal Yadav as members of the Chure board.
